Entry #4--The Great Lost Kinks Album

Well, as you may know, I bone-love this band to death.  That's all there is to it.  If you aren't a massive Kinks fan, but are willing to learn, start somewhere more fun like Village Green, or Arthur.  When you wear down the entire late 60's/early 70's catalogue, this is a fun place to go next.

There are several things floating around out there with the name, GLKA....This is the '73 one, and I think the first to be put out with that name.  It contains a couple of really great Face to Face-Arthur era B side stuff including a quintessential psych-Kinks jam, Lavender Hill, and the slightly off-color and cruel When I Turn Off the Living Room Light.  This collection also contains a bit of the Dave Davies jams that didn't make it onto the records.  A few are tight, a few are pretty rough.  Groovy Movies is a real stinker.

And if you're name is David Gibson and you were expecting to be wowed by something ultra-rare with this post like I promised...well too bad...I actually couldnt find a digital copy of the thing I said I wanted to post!!!  I will keep looking!
